Award Ceremony
In the margins of the official visit of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel to Dublin, an award ceremony took place on the 13th of June to thank Mr Noel Kierans and Comdt Kieran Woulfe for their services.
Mr Noel Kierans received the honorific decoration of the “Officier de l’Ordre de la Couronne de Chêne” in recognition of his work as Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Ireland. During the eighteen years of his service, Noel Kierans took on many responsibilities and represented Luxembourg on many occasions. Moreover, he spent many years as an active Board Member of the Belgian Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Ireland.
Cmdt Kieran Woulfe was awarded the Luxembourg Army peacekeeping medal “Médaille de reconnaissance pour Mission à l’étranger” for his service in EUTM Mali alongside Luxembourg military personnel.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Noel Kieran’s wife Jane, current Honorary Consul of Luxembourg Ivan J Healy and spouse Céline as well as close family and collagues of Cmdt Kieran Woulfe.
The Embassy of Luxembourg thanks both Irish citizens for their outstanding contributions and congratulates them on their achievements.
